I love teaching photographers — and non-photographers — more about photography! I started my career as a college photography professor, and have always loved developing and honing photography skills in others. I don’t currently have an upcoming group photography workshops, but am taking a handful of individual lessons in 2019. Details below.
Non-photographer camera lessons
This 2 hour class covers camera settings (even if you don’t know how to turn your camera on!) and photo composition and fun and simple (but awesome) lighting tricks. You’ll leave knowing how to use your camera without being in fully automatic mode! You’ll also learn what makes some pictures better than others, and how to use rules of composition to make your photos wow others! You can choose from a variety of times after you check out using the button below.
PHOTOGRAPHER MENTORSHIPS AND SHADOWING
I’ve done workshops all over the world and spoken to thousands of photographers over my decade+ career, and absolutely love helping photographers hone their craft. I’ve even written two books for photographers. During our two-hour mentor session, anything goes: pricing, camera settings, off-camera flash, posing, marketing, workflow and editing, etc. Another option for your mentor session is to shadow on a shoot (single person or couple’s portrait, whichever you prefer) to see how I direct clients, how I see light, and how I set my camera.
