When I first started my photography business, I swore I was going to do it differently than other photographers. In the age of internet and emails and faceless communication, I wanted to see people, to look them in the eye, to get to GENUINELY KNOW them. I swear that has made all the difference.
Over the years, I’ve noticed more and more businesses disconnect from customers in lieu of online communication. Imagine my surprise, then, when Blue Sun wanted Tyler and me to COME IN TO THEIR OFFICE. (I kinda felt like I was in trouble when I got that message, lol)

Our office visit was so dope! Maggie and Ben just sat down with us and asked us what we liked to do on vacation, what we like to eat, and just about us in general. I didn’t realize it (they’re SO good at their jobs) but they were customizing our honeymoon experience in their heads. Our next step was to look through a presentation they made just for us based on our preferences. I about died.
Maggie whipped up 7-10 locations into a presentation for us to look at, most of which she had been to herself (and she is vegan like Tyler and me, so that helped a million percent) and my mind felt like I was touring each property with my bride. Not gonna lie, at that moment I was even more excited about the honeymoon than I was about the wedding! (and I was SUPER excited about the wedding!)

They work for YOU to find you all the best flights and properties and are there for you to put out little fires (we had a big fire to put out, which I’ll share in an upcoming post… hint: it has to do with losing our passports) all because they want us to have the best experience possible.
Anyway, after choosing our venue (YAY! More on that later), Tyler and I went to have a drink to celebrate. We knew we were about to embark on a lifetime together, and we were starting it the very best way possible.
